Movement Memory Class Session 1 - Lily Hayward Smith

In this Interdisciplinary Performance Practice session we looked into memories and how we could use them to create movement. We had to think back and revisit a personal, familiar place. I chose a close friends bedroom. I felt cosy, safe, secure and protected while remembering events that happened in this space. We then had to reinact actually being in the space, and speak as we did actions and movement. This was very emotional and I found myself remembering even more things that happened in this space. I found this session very interesting and really enjoyed using memories as movement inspiration.
